Kladd`atir's Guardian Guide
Greetings everyone, and welcome to Kladd`atir's Official Guardian Guide.
Here you will come to learn about the amazing system in place for our Guardians, Sentinels, and Paladins. This guide will also offer benefit for fully Ranked individuals, so that they can reflect when required. These three Ranks are amongst those who are tasked with protecting the Territory's farthest reaches, all the way to the heart of it. These proud Wolves are our first lines of defense, and have honed their skills to be ready for threats against our family.
Introduction:
The concept of this system relies solely on the duties that come with the ranks of Guardian, Sentinel, and Paladin. These three Ranks are amongst those who will be utilizing this system, in form of an order. Scouts are tasked with detecting, and reporting potential threats throughout the Territory Regions. Guardians, Sentinels, and Paladin are all tasked with this process as well, but go beyond and are in charge of engaging the current threat once it has been located. The Lead will gather a group of Wolves, determined by the recommendation placed within the revealing of the Threat. Much like a Hunt, the Leader of the Group will pair Wolves off accordingly - and then engage in battle with the Threat; aiming to scare it away. It is worth noting however, that just like Hunts - this system can offer extreme injuries depending on the Target, sometimes worse than your average Prey Animal. Caution is advised that Members maintain their Wolf's HP more frequently in the event that a Threat appears, which will be at random times.
Commands:
-map | shows the entirety of the territory, and potential threats (!) within the regions (Open Command)
-order | shows the current posting order (Open Command)
-detect | determines if a Threat is nearby (Guardians/Sentinels/Paladins)
-engage | initiates a battle with the detected Threat (Guardians/Sentinels/Paladins)
-attack/-bite/-claw/-pounce/-tackle | Initiates an attack against the Threat (All Involved Wolves)
-addailment insertailment | adds an ailment to your Wolf, if injury is sustained
Threat Levels:
- Mild Threat - One or more Wolves required
- Moderate Threat - Two or more Wolves required
- Dangerous Threat - Three or more Wolves required
Threat Appearance:
Threats appear randomly on our Map, with a (!) Symbol. This symbol makes it known that something dangerous is lurking within one of the select regions. At this current time, any individual OOCly can notify a Guardian/Sentinel/Paladin, and then the process from there can be initiated via roleplay by one of those within the given Ranks. They will lead the entirety of the Threat's Discovery, Planning, and Initiation of Battle. It is recommended that any of the Three Ranks within this system, utilize their duties within pairs, or a group. This avoids individuals roleplaying by themselves.
Detecting:
Detecting a Threat is based solely on utilizing the detect command within a roleplay post (/me), within the regions. The command will only work if a Threat (!) is present in the region you are currently within. This command can be used by any three of the Ranks involved within the System (Guardian/Sentinel/Paladin). -detect is used to reveal what the Threat is, after the region has been happened upon within the IC. Threats can vary throughout any of the Territory's regions, and contain an advised group size when the Animal has been exposed (see Threat Levels).
Example: * Tahir reaching the bottom of the slope, the Gamma paused a moment merely to catch his breath and check back on those with him. They were all in seemingly well spirits, and well condition physically. This would bode well for them if this suspicious presence proved to be something dangerous. As he tipped his muzzle skyward, his nostrils flared and his ears drew to the sides to benefit his ability to searching. There was nothing immediate, and so he cast his gaze forward along the Eastern shoreline, aiming to potentially -detect whatever was lurking nearby.. A breathless feeling dominated his chest and he could feel something crawling throughout his fur, like the Ants had done to him as a Pup. But he held no fear, and instead drew himself into a state that his Father would no doubt jaw drop at. It wasn't often for the jolly Gamma to be seen in a state quite like this one, but it portrayed well on his devotion within his rank. He lived and breathed for the Pack, for his duties. "I see no immediate changes.." he murmured lowly, head lowering to brush his muzzle against the earth, in search of scents or tracks alike. His guard was raised, frame rigid. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary but it was a bit more quiet than usual, the Birds had ceased in their chirping, and the Lake's shoreline was void of waterfowl.
<~Leif`> Tahir has discovered a threat to the pack: Adult Lynx (3)
Planning:
- Small Group (1-2+ Wolves Required):
- Large Group (3+ Wolves Required):
Battle Engagement:
After the Lead and Group have traveled to the location of the Threat, they will take up their determined positions and await the signal after the Group Leader has been the first to -engage (/me command). Usually, the Lead Wolf will initiate the first -attack (/me command) - and then the order will be followed. It is worth noting that like Hunts, posts are recommended to maintain three sentences (our minimum allowed), but are kept within a fair size otherwise. This enables the length of the Battle to remain on focus, but refrain from dragging out needlessly. This may change depending on the retaliation from the Threat, as injuries are at a higher percentage. The goal for the Group of Wolves is to chase the Threat out of the Territory, but it may escape at times.
Example: * Tahir could sense the tension rise amongst those present, his gaze befalling Azrael only when the Heir made his appearance. He smiled gently and dipped his head to his words, his form shifting forward a bit toward the cover of a low-lying bush. Therein, a familiar gray color hit his sights. He continued to assess this thing, and only when its head rose.. Did he understand what it was. He turned his sights back upon the group, smiling to maintain composure for them all. "It seems we've an uninvited guest, of the feline variety. For those who have not yet encountered a Lynx before, they are on the smaller scale, compared to Cougars. Despite this, they have a nasty swipe and can leave some hefty bites if granted chance." he explained, his tone low so as to avoid startling the animal; or threatening it into attacking them. "Azrael, Vesa - I want you both to fan out on either side of it.. Prioritize your surroundings. Thelu, Juniper - I want you both to approach its position from behind the bush. We will aim to flush this animal from the territory by fear alone, but do not hold yourselves back." he stated, his own position having been an immediate and direct approach to startle the animal; and bestow some fear into it. Predators were not on the food chain, so their task was to simply -engage and harass the animal enough to annoy it, and flush it from their lands. "Good luck" he stated with a light smile, nosing each member before he moved out to initiate the first -attack.

You will be shown the command to add your ailment, within this message as well. However; feel free to direct your attention to our Caretaker and Injury Guides.
